[Philosophy]
As a responsible member of the international community, all of us working at Nomura Medias position environmental consideration as a key management issue, and we contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by actively promoting corporate activities that look to the future and consider the preservation of the global environment.
[Action Guidelines]
1. We will comply with all environmental laws and internal regulations.
We will comply with international environmental regulations and environmental laws, including those of national and local governments. Furthermore, to ensure compliance, we will establish voluntary standards as necessary and clarify our management and operational systems.
We will confirm that environmental conservation activities are being carried out appropriately and promote the continuous improvement of our environmental activities.
2. We will strive for the effective use of limited resources and the reduction of all environmental impacts.
At various stages of our business activities, we will actively and effectively work on reducing energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, curbing the consumption of raw materials, reducing the generation of waste and hazardous substances, optimizing water usage, and ensuring biodiversity.
In addition, we will evaluate the potential environmental risks posed by our company and strive to prevent pollution, and in the unlikely event that an environmental problem occurs, we will promptly take appropriate measures to minimize the environmental impact.
3. We will promote the development and dissemination of environmentally friendly products and services, and contribute to our customers' environmental activities.
Aiming to reduce our environmental impact, we will contribute to our customers' environmental activities by actively adopting, developing, providing, and introducing products and services that lead to the prevention of global warming and the realization of a recycling-oriented society.
4. We will actively engage in environmental conservation even in our corporate activities within the international community.
When procuring globally, we will consider the impact on the environment of the relevant region and strive to implement measures that meet the demands of the local community.
5. We will strive to revitalize communication regarding the environment with a wide range of people both inside and outside the company.
From a broad perspective, we will conduct education and training for employees on the importance of complying with environmental laws and regulations and on raising environmental awareness.
We will also engage in information disclosure and active communication with stakeholders regarding environmental conservation activities to promote mutual understanding and strengthen cooperative relationships.
[Goals, Person in Charge, and Scope of Environmental Policy]
・By 2030, we will reduce energy consumption by 10% or more compared to 2022.
・The person in charge of the environmental policy shall be the Risk Management Department, and the scope shall be the head office.
This policy will be reviewed every year from the date of enactment or revision.
