We have renovated the "Let's Protect Together! Building Safety" corner on the 3rd floor of the Fire Museum (Tokyo Fire Department Fire and Disaster Management Resource Center).
In the "Become an Inspection Officer and Take on the Quiz!" corner, you can learn about fire prevention while searching for dangerous places in the building and enjoying games. We also clearly introduce the "Yu Mark," which indicates that the building is fire-resistant, safe, and secure.
We have also set up experience corners for fire extinguishers and fire alarms. Visitors can learn through "hands-on experience" how to correctly use fire fighting equipment, which they may see often but rarely have the opportunity to touch, so they can use it properly in emergencies.
In addition, we produced an animation titled "How Fire Burns ~How to Get Along Well with Fire~" and added it to the lineup of the animation theater on the same floor. It gently conveys knowledge such as the principles of fire (oxygen, combustible material, heat source) and the three principles of extinguishing fire (suffocation, cooling, removal), making it easy for young children to understand.
