Beautiful Nara, Kofuku-ji.
The masterpiece of Tempyo sculpture, the Ashura statue, which even has its own fan club, is quietly enshrined in the Kofuku-ji National Treasure Museum.
The museum houses gems that convey the history of Kofuku-ji, including paintings, Buddhist statues, crafts, classical books, documents, historical materials, and archaeological artifacts, such as the Ashura statue, the Eight Legions (Hachibushu) statues, the Ten Great Disciples statues, and the Thousand-armed Kannon Bodhisattva statue.
At the shop inside the National Treasure Museum, we have a selection of items that collaborate with the history of Kofuku-ji and look forward to your visit.
Please enjoy shopping at your leisure in a store surrounded by numerous products, from classics to the latest trends, including postcards, fabric goods, stationery, food, books, and even original Kofuku-ji mobile device cases.
We also operate a shop next to the sutra transcription office at the Nan'en-do Hall, located on the west side of Kofuku-ji. After visiting the Nan'en-do Hall and receiving a goshuin (temple seal) in your stamp book, take a short break and look for goods related to Kofuku-ji.
