This is the Panasonic booth at IFA 2022, the world's largest consumer electronics show, which was held in person in Berlin for the first time in three years due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
When considering exhibition design in the post-COVID era, we incorporated changes in lifestyle and values caused by the pandemic, as well as Panasonic's major policy, GREEN IMPACT, into the spatial design. We designed the space primarily using light and fabric while ensuring design and construction that minimized waste as much as possible. As a result, we achieved a 70% reduction in carbon footprint compared to fiscal 2019. We believe that the significant CO2 reductions, particularly in materials like wood and iron as well as logistics, have set a new benchmark for the future of events and exhibitions in a post-COVID society.
