To mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of Tamagawa Takashimaya S・C, we planned a sustainable Christmas project aimed at the rich nature of Tamagawa and the future town development of the next generation.
With the cooperation of more trees, a forest conservation organization led by musician Ryuichi Sakamoto, we used domestically produced wood from properly managed "more trees forests" in Japan as decorative material.
Under the supervision of Ryuichi Sakamoto, we developed elegant and gentle Christmas decorations overflowing with the warmth of wood, and he also appeared at the Christmas event.
In addition, through exhibitions and social media initiatives, we raised awareness of more trees' forest conservation activities, and as a commercial facility rooted in the community, we sent a message about creating a town where people and nature coexist.
