Nomura Medias was responsible for the planning, design, layout, production/construction, and novelty items for the summer exhibition "EYE I EYE Festival" of "Shiseido Seasons," a special exhibition that changes with the seasons at the "Shiseido Art & Heritage Passage," an exhibition space that communicates Shiseido's corporate culture.
Based on the theme of Shiseido's 1980s campaigns, this exhibition connects the aesthetic of "inase" (chic/dashing), symbolized by the song "Megumi no Hito," to contemporary eye makeup expression. We realized an experiential exhibition space where visitors can enjoy themselves like at a festival while touching upon the history and aesthetics that Shiseido has cultivated.
At the venue, along with exhibits of advertisements and designs from that era, we developed a variety of experiential content, including product experiences with a street stall motif, "EYE Makeup Snaps," and "EYE Uchiwa" fans. The iconic lantern objects that symbolize the space were crafted with meticulous attention to detail, incorporating ingenuity in materials and construction methods to create a space with the exhilarating feeling of a summer festival.
